Bedroom field note
Bedroom wall art size and placement.
Use the bed or headboard as the visual anchor. An arrangement that spans roughly 60-75% of that width will feel connected, calm, and substantial enough for the room.

Bed-by-bed reference
Start with the mattress width.
| Bed size | Typical width | Target art width | Good layout |
|---|---|---|---|
| Twin | 38 in. | 23-29 in. | One 18 x 24 print |
| Full | 54 in. | 32-41 in. | One 24 x 36 or two 12 x 16 prints |
| Queen | 60 in. | 36-45 in. | Two 18 x 24 prints |
| King | 76 in. | 46-57 in. | Two 18 x 24 prints or a trio |
| California king | 72 in. | 43-54 in. | Pair or compact trio |
A wide headboard can replace the mattress as your reference. Measure the element that visually reads as the bed's full width.
Hanging height
Leave 6-12 inches above the headboard.
Eight inches is a dependable starting point. Move the arrangement slightly higher when pillows extend above the headboard, but avoid a large empty gap that makes the art feel detached.
If the bed has no headboard, treat the top of the pillows as a temporary guide and leave enough clearance for changing bedding.
Choose a layout that supports rest.
One quiet focal point
A single print keeps the wall simple and works well in a smaller bedroom or above a twin bed.
A symmetrical pair
Pairs feel naturally calm above queen and king beds. Use the same size and frame finish with 2-4 inches between them.
A soft botanical trio
Three related pieces add detail without visual noise when the palette and frame treatment stay consistent.
Shop the room
Botanical calm for the bedroom.
Soft greens, garden forms, and quieter wildlife studies work especially well with linen, warm wood, and neutral bedding.
